What to know before you begin
Can a backup system run the entire house?
Yes. With suitable system sizing and fuel or storage capacity, whole-home backup may be possible. We calculate running and starting loads and compare whole-home service, essential loads and load management.
Will a generator or battery turn on automatically?
Yes, when the chosen equipment includes an automatic transfer design. We will show what is automatic and what requires homeowner action in the proposal.
